Dr Brian du Preez is a botanist and Smuts Memorial Postdoctoral Fellow at UCT who specialises in the Greater Cape Floristic Region. His work has led to new species being described and plants rediscovered after more than a century. He leads frequent guided walks on Botmaskop, just behind Dorpplaas.
